Ipswich Rotary “Eras of Elegance” Masquerade Ball

Ipswich, MA/August, 2008 – The Ipswich Rotary Club will host its first annual Masquerade Ball, on Saturday,
October 25th, at the historic Turner Hill Mansion in Ipswich, MA. This highly anticipated event covering the
14th through 18th centuries will encourage guests to dress in costumes, masks, and finery of those time periods.
Black tie is optional for those who do not wish to attend in costume. As guests step over the threshold, they
will be captivated and enchanted by the unique themes that have been created for each room. Dancing and live
entertainment will take place in the main dance hall which will be transformed into a 17th century ballroom,
while Merlin’s sorcery room will be available to those who wish to dine and talk in a quieter atmosphere.
Food stations and cash bars will be available in Edgar Allen Poe’s eerie library, the old English tavern, and
the stone dungeon.

In between dancing and dining, guests will be able to visit the silent auction room to bid on wonderful products
and services that have been donated by generous local residents and businesses. 100% of the proceeds
from ticket and auction sales will go to various Ipswich Rotary charity projects.
Please visit www.IpswichRotary.org to learn more about the activities and charities that Rotary has
contributed to over the years.
The Masquerade ball will be an extraordinary event. Tickets are $75 per person, which includes a champagne
greeting, buffet dinner, and live music. Space is limited. Tickets will be available at local Ipswich businesses
including Bernard Sullivan Insurance, The YMCA, TDBanknorth, Century 21 - Ipswich Bay Associates, and
Conley‘s Drug Store.
