General information:  Rotary International is a worldwide service organization that is active in more than 160 countries and is made up of more than 34,000 clubs with 1.2 million members.  The purpose of Rotary is to serve the community and to promote world peace through international understanding.

The Ipswich Rotary Club was founded in 1923 and serves two communities, Ipswich and Rowley.

Club Meetings:  We meet weekly on Thursdays in Rowley for breakfast, except on the second week when we meet on Wednesday for dinner in Ipswich.  Unless otherwise announced, breakfast meetings begin at 7:15 am, dinner at 6 pm.  Please check our website Calendar for the location of your presentation.  Parking is free at both locations.

Meal:  Our speakers will be treated to breakfast or light dinner.  Your guests are warmly invited to attend at the rate of $12 per person for breakfast, $16 for dinner

Meeting Agenda:  The meeting format is informal and communal.  Our membership consists of over 65 business and community leaders who live and/or work in Ipswich and Rowley.  Fellowship and networking begins about 15 minutes before the scheduled start, and your 25 minute presentation will run during the last half hour.

Please note that speakers seeking financial assistance are advised that we do not permit direct solicitation at our meetings.  Your objective during the presentation should be to make our members aware of and appreciate your organization and its goals.

Requests for financial support must be submitted in writing to our club Secretary, who can be reached via email from our website at

Publicity:  Your appearance will be announced in our member newsletter and on our website calendar.

Preparation and Setup:  Prior to your visit, we request the following items be sent a month in advance of your presentation:

  1. head shot photo or logo in JPEG or PDF format
  2. short paragraph about your topic and bio, not to exceed 200 words
  3. suggested introduction to be read at the meeting

If you plan to use a computer or slides, please bring your own projection equipment.  We provide a screen, power cord and projection table.  To help you prepare, please observe the following guidelines:

  1. The club owns and will provide a projector if asked.  Speakers must contact the Program Committee Chair by Monday of the week you are presenting
  2. To avoid a conflict with the business portion of our meeting, speakers are asked to arrive and set up early.  Please arrive for breakfast by 7 am, and for dinner at 5:45 pm, to set up and test your connections before the meeting starts.

Once the AV setup is complete, we invite you to relax and get to know our congenial and welcoming members.  Your presentation is an integral part of our weekly Rotary meeting and fosters our personal and organizational growth.

We are deeply grateful for your efforts.  If you have any questions, please contact me directly.
